About Me
I am a designer, researcher and creative writer with a strong focus on designing for nature. I have a deep interest in the life sciences. I look to the natural world as a great source of inspiration. Ever
since I was a just a sprig growing up in the Beverly
Swamplands of Southwestern Ontario, I have always been a free spirit within the wilderness.
I
believe in harnessing the wisdom of earth’s natural systems in order to address humanities
complex social issues, while I investigate the intersections of the environment and humanity.
I also enjoy the various mediums of storytelling. Throughout my academic journey, I have
come to appreciate the power of narrative-based media, which has driven my passions for:
Sound design, video, illustration, animation and curation. Through these mediums, I strive to
shed light on some of the current social issues and injustices, crafting work that is rooted in
empathy and empowerment.
At the centre of my work, I seek to connect with others on an emotional level, using tone and
mood to amplify my message. Recently, I have begun exploring how music can be a powerful
medium of expression, identity and storytelling. Through my own experiences, I have found
that music fosters a profound sense of belonging and community— its universal language
being both healing and rich with meaning, serving as a luminous reminder of our shared
human experience.
